Bulgaria
Bulgaria
is situated on the Balkans. It borders with Greece and
Turkey to the South, its neighbor to the north is Romania
and to the west Serbia and Macedonia. The east border
is a 378 km coastline with the Black Sea, a favorite tourist
attraction for holidaymakers. It is famous for its long
sandy beaches, sunny weather, good resorts, hotels, houses
and flats which can be acquired. The Black Sea is less
salty and warmer than the Mediterranean and the lack of
sharks is another important feature of the area. The tourist
sector has been flourishing in recent years. The Black
Sea resorts and beaches are not the only attraction Bulgaria
offers. The beautiful mountains occupy half of the country"s
territory - the Balkan Range which runs through the middle
of the country dividing it into North and South Bulgaria.
To the south west are Rila, Pirin and the Rhodopes.
Magnificent
mountains, easily accessible and prime destination for
skiing in winter and hiking and fishing in summer.Bansko
is the resort to visit in this mountain region.
The country offers a mixture of quiet rural
scenery - small villages with old houses preserved in
the old spirit and still untouched by the growing business
activity throughout the country.
